Owl Rescue

A Boobook Owl chick, too young to leave the nest, is found on the forest floor. Will it survive?

Our resident ecologist Guy Dutson was walking in the forest one morning when he came upon a small, wet and bedraggled owl sitting on the forest floor, looking thoroughly miserable.

With care, patience and a little local knowledge, the chick was kept safe until it could be returned to its family. Stories like this remind us that an ecovillage shares its land with countless other lives.
